Last year, our company first received a ten-thousand-tonnage ship, “Ming Yang”, a transport one made in Russia, 12703 tons, 150m in length and 20m in width. The repairing work was mainly carried out around the board and the engine room, and had been accomplished wonderfully by the end of 2000. The supplementary device of the engine room had been improved thoroughly as well.

　　 In the new century, our company’s business has got a booming outlook. By middle May, we have received 41 repairing orders from inland and outland companies. According to these orders, we have already carried on 12 extraordinary repairs, 20 recurrent (annual) repairs, 5 foreign ships’ repairs, 3 maintenance repairs and 1 refitting repairs. At the same time, there are 11 temporary repairs on the march.

　　During the first four-month of this year, 30 fishing vessels have successfully set out on voyage on time, which ensured the victorious sail of the Zhoushan Marine Fishery Corporation to the north of the Pacific Ocean. (Picture on the right)
